Inca
Rope bridges were simple suspension bridges over canyons and gorges to present
access for the Inca Empire. Bridges of this type were suitable for use since
the Inca people did not use wheeled transport - traffic was incomplete to
pedestrians and livestock. These bridges were an intrinsic part on the Inca
road scheme and are an excellent example of Inca innovation in engineering.
They were frequently used by Chasqui runners delivering messages throughout the
Inca Empire.
The construction of these bridges amounted to a
pair of stone anchors on each side of the canyon with immense cables of woven
ichu grass linking these two pylons together. Adding to this construction, two
additional cables acted as guardrails. The cables which supported the foot-path
were unbreakable with plaited branches. This multi-structure system made these
bridges strong enough to even carry the Spaniards while riding horses after
they indoors. However, these massive bridges were so heavy that they tended to
sag in the middle, and this caused them to bend in high winds.

Hardware is a general term that refers to the physical
artifacts of a technology. It may also mean the physical components of a
computer system.
Hardware historically meant the metal
parts and fittings that were used to make wooden products stronger, more
functional, longer lasting and easier to fabricate or assemble. In modern usage
it includes equipment such as keys, locks, hinges, latches, corners, handles,
wire, chains, plumbing supplies, tools, utensils, cutlery and machine parts,
especially when they are made of metal. In the United
States, this type of hardware has been
traditionally sold in hardware stores, a term also used to a lesser extent in
the UK.
In
the electronics and especially computer industries, computer hardware
specifically means the physical or tangible parts of the equipment, such as circuit
boards, keyboards, monitors etc., in contrast to non-physical software running
on the computer or other device.
In a more colloquial
sense, hardware can refer to major items of military equipment, such as tanks,
aircraft or ships.

Clothing
protects the vulnerable nude human body from the extremes of weather, other
features of our situation, and for safety reasons. Every article of clothing
also carries a enriching and social meaning. Human beings are the only
creatures known to wear clothing, with the exemption of pets clothed by their
owners. People also decorate their bodies with makeup or foundation, perfume,
and other ornamentation; they also cut, dye, and organize the hair of their
heads, faces, and bodies, and sometimes also mark their skin. All these
streamers contribute to the overall effect and message of clothing, but do not
constitute clothing per se.
Articles
carried rather than worn are normally counted as fashion garnishing rather than
as clothing. Jewelry and eyeglasses are usually counted as accessories as well,
even though in general speech these items are described as being worn rather
than carried. The practical function of clothing is to protect the human body
from dangers in the surroundings: weather, insects, noxious chemicals, weapons,
and get in touch with with abrasive substances, and other hazards. Clothing can
protect against many things that might injure the naked human body. In some
cases clothing protects the environment from the clothing wearer as fine.
Humans
have shown intense inventiveness in devising clothing solutions to practical
problems and the difference between clothing and other protective equipment is
not always clear-cut. See, among others: air inured clothing, armor, diving
suit, swimsuit, bee-keeper's uniform, motorcycle leathers, high-visibility
garments, and protective clothing.

In tennis, grass is grown on very hard-packed soil, and bounces may vary depend on how healthy the grass is, how recently it has been mowed, and the wear and tear of recent play. The most famous grass tennis court in the world is Centre Court at Wimbledon. Tennis, however, is generally played on clay courts, and only a a small number of regular tennis tournaments are played on a grass court. The exterior is less firm than rigid courts, causing the ball to spring back lower, and so players must reach the ball quicker. Due to high maintenance costs however, grass courts are now rare as they must be watered and mowed often, and take a longer time to dry after rain than hard courts.

A Trailer is normally an unpowered vehicle pulled by a
powered vehicle, because powered trailers are more explicitly called
potrailers. Commonly, the term trailer refers to such vehicles used for
transport of goods and materials.
Trailer winches are intended to load (or unload) boats and
other cargo to and from a trailer. The are invented a ratchet mechanism and cable. The handle on
the ratchet mechanism is twisted to tighten or loosen the tension on the winch
cable. There are both manual and motorized trailer winches. Popup campers are trivial, aerodynamic trailers that can be
towed by a small car, such as the BMW Air Camper and the Coleman Bayside. They
are built to be shorter than the tow vehicle, minimizing drag.
Others range from two-axle campers that can be pulled by
most mid-sized pickups to trailers that are as long as the host country's law
allows for drivers without individual permits. Larger campers tend to be fully
integrated leisure vehicles, which often are used to tow single-axle dolly
trailers to allow the driver to bring small cars on their travels.

A
university is an institution of higher education and research, which grants
academic degrees at all, levels bachelor, master, and doctorate in a variety of
subjects. A university provides both tertiary and quaternary education. The
word university is derived from the Latin universitas magistrorum, scholarium,
roughly meaning community of masters and scholars.
Because
of the above definition, there is some controversy regarding which is the world
oldest university.
If
we consider a university as a corporation of students, then Plato's Academy is
the first historically documented university. The original Latin word
"universitas", first used at the time of renewed interest in
Classical Greek and Roman tradition, tried to reflect this feature of Academy.
If we consider university simply as a higher education institution, then it
could be Shangyang, which was founded before the 21st c. BC in China, if it is not a just
myth. In the western world, the choice is between Takshashila, Nalanda, Ratnagiri University and Al-Azhar University.

The
term race describes populations or groups of people well-known by different
sets of characteristics, and beliefs about common ancestry. The most broadly
used human racial categories are based on visible traits, and self-identification.
Conceptions
of race, as well as specific ways of grouping races, vary by culture and over
time, and are often contentious for scientific as well as social and political
reasons. Many scientists contend that while the features on which a racial
categorization are made may be based on genetic factors, the idea of race
itself, and actual divisions of persons into groups based on selected
hereditary features, are social constructs.
Since
the 1940s, some evolutionary scientists have rejected the view of race as a
biologically meaningful impression. A majority of evolutionary scientists
reject the notion that any definition of race pertaining to humans can have any
taxonomic rigour and validity. Mainstream scientists have argued that race
definition are imprecise, arbitrary, derived from custom, have many exceptions,
have many gradations, and that the numbers of races experimental vary according
to the culture examined. They further preserve that race as such is best
understood as a social construct.

An
inductor is a passive electrical device working in electrical circuits for its
property of inductance. Inductance is an consequence which results from the
magnetic field that forms around a current carrying conductor. Electrical
current through the conductor creates a magnetic flux relative to the current.
A change in this current creates a change in magnetic flux that, in turn,
generates an electromotive force that acts to oppose this change in current.
Inductance is a calculate of the generated emf for a unit modify in current. An
inductor with an inductance of 1 henry produces an emf of 1 V when the current
through the inductor changes at the rate of 1 ampere per second. The number of
turns, the area of each loop/turn, and what it is wrapped around influence the
inductance.
An
inductor opposes changes in the current. An ideal inductor would offer no
resistance to a constant direct current, however, only superconducting
inductors have truly zero electrical resistance. Inductors are used expansively
in analog circuits and signal processing.

Populations
are studied, in exacting, in a branch of ecology known as population biology,
and in population genetics. In population dynamics, size, age and sex
structure, mortality, reproductive behavior, and development of a population
are studied. In biology, an isolated population denotes a breeding group whose
members breed mostly or solely among themselves, usually as a result of
physical isolation, although biologically they could breed with any members of
the varieties. If there are several completely or nearly completely secluded
populations in the global population of a taxon, these are called
subpopulations. The Metapopulation is a network of subpopulations in a given
area, where the individuals of the various subpopulations are able to cross
dilapidated areas of the region. Biological dispersal is one of the key
elements upsetting such populations; if dispersal is sufficiently low for a
prolonged period of time, speciation is likely to be a consequence.
Population
growth is varying in population over time. It also can be quantified as the
change in the number of individuals in a population per piece time. The term
population growth can technically refer to any species, but almost always
refers to humans, and it often used easily for the more specific demographic
term population growth rate, and is often used to refer specifically to the
expansion of the population of the world.

programming utility used for examining and modifying memory-resident engine
code programs. The computer programming interface for synchronising concurrent
access to a set of variables in a computer program. A hardware device that events
electrical events such as pulses or voltage levels in a digital computer. A
speaker used on stage to allow musicians to hear each other. Also called fold
back a video monitor, a television-like device used in studio, lab or analysis environments.
A supervisory control system for installations such as SCADA to monitor significant
system parameters. Special installations require adapted monitoring
installations like transformer monitors or substation monitors. A Hall monitor,
one who patrols the entry of a school. A Prefect, schoolboy or schoolgirl given
individual authority in some British schools, especially public schools.
